DAYTIME SHOOTING: Shots Fired on Ritter Lane Between Whelan Place And Asburton Avenue

YONKERS (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) NY: The Yonkers Police Department have marked at least five shell casings on the east side of Ritter Lane near Whelan Avenue

EYEWITNESSES: A Group Of Men In Front Of The Ashburton Pharmacy Are Telling Community Members And The Yonkers Police That They Saw Two Persons Running From The Shooting And A BMW Speeding Away.

#Yonkers PD Officers Are Now Looking At Neighborhood Surveillance Cameras To Try And Get More information On These Eyewitness Statements.

It is unclear if the older men in front of the pharmacy initially called the #YPD or if it was other frightened neighbors.

The Shooting Was About 100 Feet From To Grant Park Apartment's Children's Playground And A Couple Of Short Blocks From The St. John's Riverside Hospital Facility On The Busy Ashbuton Avenue Commercial Strip.
