New York state school test scores for English and math in grades 3 through 8 are out for 2023.

Statewide, 52% of students in grades 3 through 8 were proficient in math, the data show.

In the English language arts category, 48% of students in the same grades were proficient.

The state Education Department today posted the latest scores for grades 3 through 8, about two months later than it traditionally releases the assessment data.

While the data is on its website, the department did not issue a news release, nor did educators in The City of Yonkers.....
