STATEMENT: From Yonkers' County Legislator James Nolan

"Last night's Zoning Forum to inform constituents of what the Governor's proposed Housing Compact entails and if passed in this year's budget the catastrophic and dangerous impact would be on Westchester County.

If this isn’t taken out of New York State’s budget it would eliminate zoning boards and laws meaning the property that you worked so hard for is in jeopardy.

Taxes would go up to pay for the necessary changes, traffic would be a nightmare, school districts wouldn’t be able to hold the students, infrastructure would suffer, emergency personnel wouldn’t have the correct workforce, and quality of life would be horrible.

I will always keep the constituents I represent well informed of what is going on and I will always go to bat for you because that's what I was elected to do."
